Allegiant Summary and Reveiw

In my book Allegiant the main characters are Beatrice (Tris) Prior and Tobias (Four) Eaton and they go around the city and they are tying to find a way out of the city because the person who put them in there wants to them to send people out side the walls when they have a large divergent population. They have to be secret about it because there president of the city does not want to them go out side of the city because she thinks that they if they put them in there for are reason then that means that they should stay in there. The president of the city's son is Tobias and she doesn't now that he is a spy trying to get Tris's brother Caleb out of prison for fighting with the old leader of the city. The old leader of the city tried to control the people with a serum that took over there brains and made them like robots it caused Tris to shot one of her friends will because he was going to shot her. Tris and a  bunch of her friends went outside the walls and found a place called The Bureau of Genetic Welfare. This  book is non-fiction which means this could happen in real life. I think it is a good book and that more people should read the series I read it and it is amazing series.

Native American Analysis

Native Americans were marginalized by white people taking there kids away to schools. Captain Pratt said "Kill the Indian, save the man" which means kill the Indian part of them and save the human part. What Pratt was trying to accomplish was to transform Indians into white people by taking away the Indian part or them and forcing them to do things the white way.  By taking away the Indian part of them he was making them feel as though they didn't belong at the reservation anymore since they were not used to the Indian way of life anymore.
Shancie wants people to now how native Americans feel during there normal live. When she describes how she feel during school she seemed like she was left out when it comes to lunch food because her food was different then what other people were eating.

Personal Story

When I was at my old school I would try and talk to people but I would be treated like I was invisible. At one point my own friends decided to treated me like i was not there. Then finally my class got a new student and he was told to sit by me and we became friends. Later in the school year I heard my old friends talking to the new kid and they were telling him that I was a bad friend that i was just using him to get more friends and to get more food at lunch even though I didn't eat the school lunches. I finally fixed the problem by just holding it in for so long that I exploded and confronted my old friends and they just pushed me away and that just set me of even more and we just ended up getting into a fight with them. Eventually I won and I got into trouble for fighting but I got my friends back and the next day they told me that i hold stuff in to much and that i don't tell people and that is way I explode a lot.  

Tolerence

Tolerence in my opinion is being able to block out what others say and do to you. Me personally I'm tolerant to what people do to me like when people throw stuff at me I just try to  ignore it the best I can even if that means letting them throw stuff at me. I learned one thing if you ignore them they will stop.

Tunnels Summary and Review part 1

In my book the main characters are two kids named Will Burrows and Chester Rawls. Will is the son of Dr. Burrows and Chester is Wills friend from school. In this book Dr. Burrows goes missing and Will and Chester decided to try and find him so they go down to the basement were Dr. Burrows was last and they find a secret tunnel and they start digging more in it. The next day they go back to the tunnel and it is filled back in with limestone so they dig a new tunnel and they find this under ground chamber. The under ground chamber to them feels like they are on top of Mount Everest they felt this way because it was hard to breath because the air was really thin. When it got to hard to breath they left the chamber and went home and when they tried to go back to the chamber it was blocked by limestone just like Dr. Burrows tunnel in the basement. When will decided to try and find the chamber again they dug were they thought the chamber was and they found it and they noticed  a shaft and decided to see were it gos but Chester was to scared to see so Will said "fine I'll go by myself" and started to go down when Chester said wait and went with him. On the way down it was quiet but when they got to the bottom the shaft let out a huge SCREECH that made them cover their ears. 


They started to explore the cave and they found a door that had a small people hole so they decided to go in because if they went home and tried to come back the hole might be covered in limestone. They tried to open the door but it was locked so they started to look around and they found a old abandoned office and started looking through all the stuff and found this weird key shaped thing. Will decided to keep it and keep looking around and they found this weird oval shaped thing with orange-yellow liquid in it and kept it. Will decided to try the door again but it would not open so he pulled out the key shaped thing and started looking for a key hole on the door but he couldn't find one but then he noticed a hole by the side of the door and tried to put the key thing in it and it fit so he tried to turn it and the door opened. Once the door opened they found they found them selves inside what looked to be an ancient village.

The Titans Curse

This book is about Percy Jackson if you don't no who he is well I'll tell you he is the son of one of the most powerful gods named Poseidon, Percy is a demigod which means he is half human and half god. In my book he has to save his friend Annabeth who was kidnapped by Luke and he made her hold up them sky and when Percy tried to save her he ran into a couple of kids who did not no they were demigods and they go through a battle with something they call a Manticore that is trying to take the kids so he can take them back to his boss so that he can make them part of his army to take over Olympias which is where full blood gods live and that is where the three most powerful gods live. The three most powerful gods are the god of the sky and thunder Zeus, The god of the sea and protector of all aquatic creatures Poseidon, and the god of the underworld and ruler of the dead Hades. The manticores master the General as he was called but his real name was Atlas and he was the Bearer of Heaven, Lieutenant of Kronos, Titan of Endurance, Astrology, and strength. Had a  daughter Named Zoe Nightshade and she was a huntress which means she goes around the world with the goddess of the hunt. During the battle with her dad he had killed her with a poisoned spear. This book is a non-fiction book because it is not real which means that this could not happen in real life.

Elijah of Boxton Summary and Reveiw

In my book the main character is named Elijah and he has this special ability to chunk stones which in the book means catch fish using stones and flies. When he catches a fish he takes it back to the settlement and if he has a lot of fish he gives them to other people. He works at a stable and takes care of the horses and the donkey named Flapjack. In the book there is a character named preacher and he went out one When ever they go to Lake Erie they take a plow and all the kids sit in the back and the adults almost forget that the kids are back there and they start talking about stuff like when they were slaves or adult stuff. When they finally got to Lake Erie they sat and had a picnic his mom made apple pie but his dad new he could not eat it and so he made them look at a bold eagle and he buried it in the ground so he would not have to eat it but Elijah noticed him.  

My Goals

My first academic goal for this quarter is to be more attentive with my school work because if I don't then I will fall behind and won't be able to go onto high school. I will achieve this by paying more attention during class, asking more questions, and doing more of my homework that is assigned to me.     My second academic goal for this quarter is to be more careful with how I do my school work and with what I say and how I act. I will achieve this by thinking before I write something and by thinking before I say and act. This is one of y goals because I believe that I am not careful with what I say, \how I act, and what I write.    My personal goal for this quarter is to get to no my peers more and to listen to my goals. I will achieve this by asking them questions and hanging out with them more. This is one of my goals because I feel feel that I don't no my peers enough.

City of Lost Souls Summary and Review

In my book City of Lost Souls there are a group of shadowhunters named Clarissa Fray, Jace Herondale, Isabella Lightwood, Alec Lightwood, Jocelyn Fray, a warlock named Magnus Bane, A werewolf named Luke Garroway, and a vampire named Simon Louis. This Group of people are the only people who are capable of saving the shadowhunters because Jace and Clary they have more angel blood in them then normal shadowhunters would have which makes them stronger smarter and Clary can create ruins that nobody has seen before like her fearless ruin. They are also the only ones because they travel with a vampire that is able to go out in the sun light because he has drank shadowhunter blood. They also get the help from a warlock who is special because he has a book called the gray book and it is special because it contains spells that are super powerful and all the ruins that the shadowhunters now of besides the ones Clary made.


The genre of the book is Fiction which means that it is not real and that this could not happen.

Fight for fair treatment of workers: Don't buy Nike and poem assessment

The argument in the article was about how Nike uses sweatshops to produce there products. It is also about nike mistreating there workers by abusing them. They abuse them by kicking, slapping, throwing shoes at them, and making them stand int he sun if they mess up while they were at work. They also did nit provide health care and did pay them enough to get food, shelter and proper clothing. I think that if some one does not do something then this will continue and will become stronger and the workers will definitely will not be able to stand up for them selves. I learned that the more you buy nikes the more you are letting them use your money to get immigrants to do the work there. I also learned that when you by nikes you are actually helping them expand there company all over the world and are causing immigrants to only get paid $1.25 a day. Which you need a lot more then that to feed a family if you work there.

 The argument in the poem was about how hard and loud it is in the factory It is also about how the workers are mistreated. They get mistreated by the bosses. The bosses mistreated them by calling them machines and force them to work so much that they often forget who they are. They also mistreated them by making them do bitter, bloody work. The bosses is always yelling at the workers to "work, work, work a lot" and the workers can tell that the boss is angry at them for something. It was different but it was different in a good way but I would have to still pick the article over the poem because the article has a lot more detail and more information. The poem is still very good and has detail but it does not have a lot of information. This form does not affect my meaning or my understanding of the poem. It does not affect my meaning because no matter what something should be done about what is happening to the workers because they should be able to stand up for them selves but they are afraid to because they are afraid that the boss will send people after them to kill them or hurt them.

The Treasure of Lemon Brown Summary

                                           The Treasure of Lemon Brown

    The treasure of Lemon Brown is about a boy who go into who went into an old abandoned building and finds an old man that goes by the name Lemon Brown he was a singer while back and his career was destroyed by his son going off into the military and his son dying and know he is setting off into the south.  He went on and on about his life but then a group of kids come in and try and find him in the dark abandoned building but he throws his body at the group of kids when they get on the stairs and makes them fall down the stairs and takes there flashlight.

City of Ashes Review

                                                      City of Ashes

In my book City of Ashes the main character is Clare and she is a shadow hunter they are a group of people that kill demons. The book city of Ashes is the second book in the Mortal Instruments series and let me say it is amazing and it is full of action. I think the book is amazing because it has a lot of detail and is full of surprises about the characters. The book holds a lot of detail and I believe it is better than the the first one called City of Bones which I read. I would recommended.     The first conflict was between Jace and Luke's pack of werewolves. It stopped when Luke came into the bar called The Hunter's Moon were Jace was fighting the pack of werewolves and was winning and was losing at the same time Luke stopped the fight and took him up to an office and was trying to talk to him but he couldn't so he called Clare Jace's sister she came and talked to Jace and he listened to her and he told her about his adopted mom kicking him out of the house and telling him he should find a place to stay for a while. The second conflict was between jace and Cary they were arguing about he is stopped to go and get into a fight with a pack of werewolves and that if Luke didn't come in when he did he could of died.

In the story the author tells us that after each sport event there has to be extra police put out after a sport event because of the riots that are caused because of someones team lost the game. The fans took it as a lost for them. They don't like it when there team loss so they start a riot to make them selves feel better or to get pay back for the lose of there team.

           In my book the main character Clarissa Fray is always worried  about her mother who was kidnapped and then Clarissa join a bunch of people who can all sorts of cool thing like kill demons which attack them in the book.  Clarissa must learn how to fight demons or else she is going to die if her friends die.  Clarissa also know about demons but her mom had the high warlock of Brooklyn put a block on her memories so that she would not know about demons.

                                            Insurgent Summary and Review



In my book Insurgent the main character Beatrice is hard headed and she cares more about others then she does about her own safety Because of this she has all most been killed on  multiple time. She even risked her life so much for others that she is willing to let her self be captured and tortured just to let Tobias and her friends to live.

I would still recommend reading it because it has a lot of detail and it is full of action but at the end it leaves you hanging.           It is a amazingly good book.
